Last month, I was interviewed by the Washington Grains Commission for a podcast entitled “Wheat all about it”. The podcast is a two-part interview and part one was released on August 27th. It was an opportunity to discuss our work with DOE regarding the TAP list, Glyphosate issues and the Famer Business Network. Below is the Commission’s advertisement and the link for the podcast.
“If you’ve never had the opportunity to listen to Jim Fitzgerald speak about issues of importance to agriculture, you’re in for a treat in episode 140 as the executive director of the Far West Agribusiness Association combines years of bureaucratic experience with his background as a wheat farmer and cattle rancher. Fitzgerald left his Asotin County home in 2001 when he was appointed State Executive Director of the Washington Farm Service Agency, which subsequently led to a job in Washington, D.C. He was hired at Far West in 2008. His unique background and the perspective it provides combines to explain where agribusinesses and farmers find themselves in today’s world in an episode entitled: And Now a Word from Jim Fitzgerald, Far West Agribusiness and Agricultural Advocate.
