The Oregon legislature is statutorily required to complete its work by midnight of June 30th but will likely conclude today or very soon. In the news this past week has been the absence of the Republicans who left the state rather than be a part of a Cap & Trade Bill (HB2020). Information we have says that even if the Republicans returned, the Democrats do not have the 16 required votes needed to pass the Bill.
Two other Bills of interest have been those seeking to ban the use of Chlorpyrifos in Oregon similar to California. We are pleased to announce that those bills are dead for the 2019 session.
For further updates and a session summary, be sure to check the FWAA website at www.fwaa.org under the legislative tab.
Oregon is the last of the five states to adjourn within the FWAA regional area.
