Glyphosate Re-Registration by EPA

On April 30th, 2019, EPA made an announcement regarding its next step in the registration review process for the herbicide Glyphosate and at the same time reaffirmed that the products were of no risk to public health.  While it is easy to get distracted by the later statement, it is important for you as an individual or as a business, to focus on the first part of the announcement and take the opportunity to share your comments. You may do so through this link: https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=EPA-HQ-OPP-2009-0361-2340

EPA offers a website showing “tips” for making effective comments along with “Rules and Restrictions”. It can be found here: https://www.epa.gov/dockets/commenting-epa-dockets

Glyphosate is an extremely important chemistry that we simply cannot afford to risk losing. Please consider sending in a supporting statement for its re-registration and use along with some examples of how and when the products are used along with the economic and environmental benefits. Most likely, you are the expert so it’s imperative that you share your knowledge and experience when making comments prior to July 5, 2019.
