Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador has notified U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Nez Perce Tribal Chairman Shannon Wheeler that the State of Idaho considers the U.S. Government and the Nez Perce tribe in breach of the 2004 Nez Perce Water Rights Settlement Agreement and the 2004 Snake River Water Rights Agreement.
Today, April 1, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is announcing its next steps to protect people from the herbicide dimethyl tetrachloroterephthalate (DCPA, or Dacthal). EPA is warning people of the significant health risks to pregnant individuals and their developing babies exposed to DCPA and will be pursuing action to address the serious, permanent, and irreversible health risks associated with the pesticide as quickly as possible.
In response to state attempts to hijack FIFRA labeling and registration requirements, South Dakota Representative Dusty Johnson has introduced H.R. 4288, the Agricultural Labeling Uniformity Act.
