Fitzgerald is currently
concluding his duties and responsibilities as Chief of Staff for the
United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development in
Washington, D.C. A native
of Washington State, he also served as the State Executive Director for
the USDA Farm Service Agency from 2001 through 2006.
Prior to 2001, he was
President and owner of Fitzgerald Farms, Inc. of Clarkston, Washington
and a fourth generation farmer. He also previously worked for the
Federal Land Bank of Spokane out of the Chehalis, Washington and
Lewiston, Idaho locations. Fitzgerald is a graduate of Washington State
University. He will assume
his duties in late July and will reside in Cheney, Washington.
